Iconic Picture From Wreckage After Kevin Durant Donates $1 Million to Oklahoma Tornado Relief

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant donated a cool $1 million to the Red Cross on Tuesday after the 22-mile long tornado swept through Oklahoma on Monday, killing 24 people including nine children and leaving plenty of residents homeless and fighting for survival. The devastation and wreckage was broad reaching.

The news of Durant’s donation came via a tweet Tuesday afternoon from the Red Cross in which the agency said the Oklahoma City All-Star matched $1 million in funds donated for tornado relief by the American Red Cross (ARC). (Via Sports Illustrated)

Amidst the wreckage an amateur photographer snapped this iconic photo symbolizing what Durant’s donation has meant to the victims:

Powerful stuff.
