Knee Strain May Keep Metta Out of Lakers’ Lineup

The Lakers fell to the Warriors Monday night and were without Metta World Peace for the entire second half.

MWP went to the locker room during the first half and it initially wasn’t clear why. It was later revealed that he suffered a left knee strain. The good news for Lakers fans is that he may not miss any time. But then again, you never know. Given their current state of desperation, look for him to be in the lineup. Hopefully.

As he continuously applied lotion his strained left knee, Lakers forward Metta Word Peace vowed one thing. ‘It’s not in pain,’ he said. But even the player that Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni described as a ‘tough guy’ conceded uncertainty on whether he would stay sidelined when the Lakers play Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
