Ricky Rubio is fresh back from a major knee injury and the T’Wolves are watching his minutes while he gets all the way back. But since he’s a competitor, Rubio isn’t on board with the minutes limit. He was actually benched last night in a game where Minnesota decided to go with JJ Barea down the stretch rather than Ricky. It was for Ricky’s benefit, but he wasn’t happy regardless.
“I want to know what happened,” Rubio said. “We’re going to talk. ‘TP’ preferred to play the other players who were playing. I don’t know what to say. I don’t like it.” [...] “Yeah,” Rubio said when asked if he was upset, “but it is what it is. T.P. preferred to play players who were playing. I don’t know what to say, you know.”
