As you recall, Derrick Rose tore his ACL on the first day of the playoffs last year. But don’t forget about Iman Shumpert either. The Knicks rookie also tore his ACL the same day, a few hours after rose. Well, Shump is near a return and should help the Knicks with some perimeter defense. Let’s just hope he doesn’t suffer any setbacks.
Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, who underwent knee surgery in the offseason, has been cleared for full-contact practice by the team’s medical staff, according to his official Twitter account.
“Cleared for full contact by the team Doctors! Let the countdown begin!!! I live for games like last night. See you soon Boston,” Shumpert wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday morning, a day after the Knicks lost a physical game to the Atlantic Division rival Celtics.
