David Stern has announced that he will be stepping down as commission of the NBA in a few years, but that won’t stop him from doing his best to set up the NBA for success long-term. For years, we’ve heard rumors that the NBA will expand to Europe. We see it all the time with preseason games being played in London. Well, Stern seems to think it will definitely happen.
“I think so. I think multiple NBA international teams. Twenty years from now? For sure. In Europe. No place else. In other places I think you’ll see the NBA name on leagues and other places with marketing and basketball support, but not part of the NBA as we now know it.”
