The LA Lakers today announced on their twitter feed that backup point guard Steve Blake will need to have laproscopic surgery to repair his abdomen. The rehab from the surgery is apparently going to take at least 6-8 weeks. This is terrible news for the Lakers who are struggling mightily given their talent level on the floor. Many believe that Steve Nash and back up Steve Blake are the keys to keeping the Lakers offense running smoothly and efficiently. With Mike D’Antoni at the helm, they certainly can’t rely on defensive prowess to get them through the transition until Nash is back…
