The Minnosota T’Wolves are a young, exciting team but they are injury-ravaged as well. Their guys are dropping like flies and they can barely field a roster. So, they’ve brought in a guy who can be a serviceable veteran presence off the bench.
The deal is pending a physical.
Howard will add depth to the injury-ravaged Wolves, who lost Chase Budinger to injury earlier this week. Forward Kevin Love, guards Ricky Rubio, J.J. Barea and Brandon Roy also are sidelined with injuries.
Coach Rick Adelman says Howard’s experience should help him to fit in quickly. Howard will be in uniform on Friday night against Golden State.
Howard, a nine-year veteran, will receive the veteran’s minimum, according to league sources.
