Pacers Danny Granger Out 3 Months With Knee Injury

The Pacers are everyone’s sleeper pick this year, and for good reason. They have a young, talented core and should make another playoff run. But starting out the season without Danny Granger, arguably their best player, isn’t good.

The Indiana Pacers expect to be without Danny Granger for approximately the next three months after the star forward had an injection to treat patellar tendinosis in his left knee, the team announced Wednesday.

Granger had the injection on Tuesday. It was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Granger originally suffered his knee injury during last spring’s Eastern Conference semifinals. The team announced late last month that he was sidelined indefinitely because of his sore left knee.
