The Hoop Doctors Kevin Burke recently had a chance to chat with Brandon Knight, who last year was one of the top high school basketball players in the country, and this year is the newest member of the University of Kentucky basketball program. Watch the interview spot below, and don’t sleep on Knight’s response to the question we pose him about comparing his game to that of Wall’s:

    Great piece Kevin.

    Even though some he has won the Gatorade POY two consecutive years, it’s unbelievable that some folks are still sleeping on Knight. Maybe it’s because he is replacing such a wildly popular player at Kentucky? Wall may be more explosive, but Knight is more of a polished PG entering college.

    It’s hard to imagine but the Wildcats may be an even better “team” this season behind Knight, Kantner, Jones, Poole, and Lamb.

      @allenmoll,

      Thanks Allen. And I completely agree with your take on why Knight is getting slept on. Wall’s hype alone is tough to compete with. And yeah, Wall was definitely more raw than Knight.

      Speaking of UK last year, I often wonder what would have been if Jodie Meeks came back for his senior season. I think they would’ve moonwalked to the chip last year with Meeks.
