Kobe Bryant Punches Iguodala Where the Sun Don’t Shine [Video]

Kobe Bryant is a crafty defender. That means he will try and get away with the extra little bumps, scratches, pulls, and the odd time even punches when the referee isn’t looking. I used to hate playing against defenders like Kobe Bryant, because they get inside your head and annoy you when you are trying to concentrate on scoring buckets. Kobe knows this as well, remember Dahntay Jones last year in the playoffs?

After Friday’s matchup between the Lakers and Sixers, no one knows this about Kobe Bryant more than Andre Iguodala. Kobe pulled out all the stops in trying to distract the Sixers top scorer, including this play where he clearly punches Iguodala right in the balls and then looks around like “who me?”.     I knew all the Kobe lovers would be coming out on this saying “you don’t know what a punch is”. Face the facts, Kobe hit him right in the nuts. Open fist or closed fist it’s hard to tell from the video, but doesn’t matter. Obviously he wasn’t trying to steal the ball since Iguodala had it up above his head in a shooting motion. Kobes intent was obviously to hit him in the nuts, punch or not.

    He should be kicked out of the game for molesting a guy like that.

    That should get a suspension! Fouls are fouls, shots to the pills should not be tolerated (what if everyone started playing defense like that). At Wake, Chris Paul got suspended after punching Julius Hodge’s balls, and a foul wasn’t even called on the play. The NBA needs to man up.
