How is a 21 year old who scored 25 in 29 straight game, and who is averaging 30ppg overhyped? How did you come to that conclusion? Honestly, I’d like to know.

And you can’t really think that Oden will amount to greatness. He doesn’t do anything well. He doesn’t have a basketball skill set. Durant averaged more boards than he did when they were in college.

11 and 8 in 23 minutes is not good enough for somebody who was as hyped as he was. You gotta give me that much. He should aspire to have a career that Walton did, who averaged 13pts a night by the way

How is he a bust? An injury prone yes, but bust? I don’t think so.

Bill Walton was an injury prone either MOST in his career, and nobody saying he’s a bust.

Btw if Oden played at least 30 minutes, he would averaged double double, this year before injured he averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds while playing ONLY 23 minutes.

Well I like Durant, but calm down people, you made it like Durant is the best player in the NBA. Actually I started to thinking that he’s become overhyped.

I see both sides of this argument, actually. Yes, Oden appears to be the most brittle human being to ever attempt playing professional sports. However, before his latest injury, he was among the league leaders in blocks and FG%.

And Bill Walton, another fragile big guy, ended up playing a decade and winning a title in Portland.

Worth noting that Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard wanted to take Durant but got overruled by ownership.
