Brooke Lopez? Are you kidding me? He is not even the best player on a team that is 3-37. David Lee is much more desrving...he averages 20 ppg and is the knicks team leader.

I agree with your starting five in the East but your reserves Iguodala, Lopez and Horford hellllll no. Iguodala is a solid player but not ready for the allstar level yet. Lopez plays for the worst team in the N.B.A. so his shots mean absolutley nothing. He is a good player but would he be that good on a real team that have structure and there shots count when thrown up. Horford still a youngster he is strong and passionate but have to wait his turn and get a playoff win first. One person you acknowledge that I give you props for is Rondo. He is the most underated natural Point Guard in the N.B.A. Everyone is all concerned about points. Rondo is high in steal, assist, rebounds and is the best defensive point gaurd in the league since, and I know this sounds crazy the Glove. Remember I said defense not scoring Lol.... Oh I forgot Rondo will give you a tripple double now and then if Rodo don't make I'm not watching old ass A.I and for those who is hating on Garnett tell the rest of them to win a championship. Bosh should start but Garnett should be there if healthy. You don't have to scoree 33 pimts and 12 rebounds to be the best. What everyone keep forgetting Garnett bring more than points. He bring reliability, leadership, defense, intensity and he is a winner.

Well, you're wrong from the very beginning. This is All-Star game, not players-who-play-good-this-season-and-have-good-prospects-for-the-future-game. Hence, Luol Deng cannot play instead of KG because he is not a star, he's not filling in arenas and making clutch plays. Maybe once, when he pulls his team into NBA Finals he'll make it to the All-Star game, but for now he should not be even considered.

Good selections, but I would change a few players.

Chris Paul -> Steve Nash (I agree with Rick that Nash should be starting over CP3, but CP3 should get a reserve spot.)

Rondo -> Joe Johnson (Rondo is a good player and is a All-Star candidate, but it stings me that he's starting over Johnson, who is leading the surprising Hawks to a elite record. I know Johnson isn't a PG, but it's the All-Star game and I like to go on a G,G,F,F,C lineup. BTW, Rondo isn't even the best Celtics player yet you have him starting?

Horford -> Lee. Hawks are good, but they don't deserve 3 players while the Magic, Cavs, and Lakers only have 1. I like Horford, but I think Lee is the more deserving player.

I want to include Billups as Denver is not as good without him, but everyone on the West is just as deserving and I'm glad this is the year (hopefully) Deron Williams is in the All-Star Game. It's preposterous that he's never played in the All-Star Game even though he was on a All-Pro team and is probably the 2nd Best PG in the league.

Good analysis, I like how you put in Dirk at PF and slid 'Melo over to his natural SF position. The guy is a lights out shooter. But I do have one bone to pick. How can you take out Nash and put in Chris Paul?

Nash is putting up better numbers than he did in his 2 MVP seasons. And even though the Suns have slumped a bit lately they are still exceeding all expectations so far this season and all of that is due to Nash.

Paul is playing well under his expectations for this season and so are the Hornets. This is a classic example of where Nash deserves to start at PG and CP3 doesn't even deserve to make it.
