Gilbert Arenas Vs. Agent Zero

Allen Moll is an avid NBA and College Basketball fan who watches and studies games religiously and coaches youth basketball in his native Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. Allen is a regular columnist for thehoopdoctors.com, Bleacherreport.com, UpperDeckblog.com, and his own blog, Hoops Haven .
Throughout his 8 year NBA career, we have all grown accustomed to Gilbert Arenas’ comical antics on and off the court. Whether it has been on the cover of video games, magazines, or post game interviews, Gil never fails to amuse us with his humorous alter ego’s like “Agent 0″ or the “Hibachi.” But upon his comeback from numerous injuries over the 3 previous seasons, Gil decided to retire those other alternate personalities and focus solely on basketball by being just Gilbert Jay Arenas.
Even though the Wizards are struggling because of key injuries to other valuable players like Antawn Jamison, Mike Miller, and Randy Foye, Arenas has shown little effects of his career threatening knee injuries by putting up All-Star caliber numbers like 24+ ppg and more than 6 assists per night. He just hasn’t gotten much help.
Prior to the season, Gil made that astounding statement on his website Gilbertology that he was forever putting to rest his entertaining side and not speaking to the media to focus on winning basketball games. Because of his media silence he has been fined accordingly(upwards of $20,000). It’s alright because I think he can afford it after collecting around $20 million per year while only playing in 25 games over the previous two seasons.
I suspect that there is something else going on inside Mr. Arenas’ head, a tug of war so to speak, between all the fun loving, antic prone Agent 0, and the serious, tight lipped Gilbert Arenas. After scanning the net for some answers, I stumbled across this hilarious video of Gil arguing with his alter ego Agent 0. In the video, Agent 0 uses a few choice words to help snap Gil out of his straight faced, businesslike attitude, and makes some great points. At the end, we find out that the video is part of an advertising campaign to get you to visit Gil’s new website GilbertArenas.com. Doesn’t Agent 0 sort of remind you of Lil Penny(Hardaway) from years ago?

yeah! this story has entered the popular today section on popurls.com…
1) ‘Gilbertology’ is not Gilbert Arenas’ website. It’s a fan site.
2) He was fined $25,000, which is technically in “upwards of $20,000″ — but it’s still written wrong.
3) Arenas made around $11,950,400 in 07-08 and around $14,653,466 in 08-09 … so not really close to “around $20 million per year while only playing in 25 games over the previous two seasons” — although, he can still certainly afford fines.
4) Arenas actually appeared in 15 games in the previous two seasons, 19 total if you count the playoff games.
5) It’s funny that you “stumbled across” a video that is all over the web, with it being released the day before you wrote this and all.
Just do the research, that’s all I’m saying.

Allen,
Irresponsible! Clearly you did not do your research. Hibachi brought himself back from retirement over a week ago.
