“The Hoop Docs and ESPN Up in a Tree…..”

….K-I-S-S-I-N-G….you get the picture. We love ESPN, and apparently as of yesterday ESPN Sports Nation loves us too. For those of you thoroughly confused, yesterday we started off the day by being mentioned on ESPN’s Sports Nation Twitter account as the “Sports Site of the Day”:

Then we were subsequently given the royal treatment by being mentioned on air as the “SportsNation Site of the Day”. Aside from having an extremely good looking host (no we’re not referring to Colin), the new-er ESPN show “Sports Nation” is high energy, interactive, and a great watch for sports fans. It’s refreshing to see the big dogs put together a show that not only recognizes the rapidly growing element that is the sports blogosphere, but also participates with their readers in much the same way sports blogs do. That is Web 2.0, or 3.0, or whatever the hell we are into now….twitter, facebook, blogs, the works. To have The Hoop Doctors mentioned on their show, for us was like dunking on Kobe Bryant…in Game 7…NBA Finals, and hanging on the rim, maybe even a little face wash.
