Great points Yanni.
Lebron supposedly has a good relationship with rapper Jay-Z who has a stake in the NJ Nets, who with boatloads of Russian money will have the funds to move to Brooklyn and sign Lebron. I feel the Nets have a slightly better supporting cast. Time will tell.

Just a matter of time before Mr. Walsh & Co. are shown the door. With all the hype about the free agent class on 2010 ... they have forgot that you build a team with good drafts and smart trades to improve your talent base. Since Walsh has taken over, the Knick drafts have been very questionable. In 2008, they drafted Gallinari over the like of Eric Gordon, Brook Lopez, Jerryd Bayless ,Anthony Randolph, Marreese Speights...This past draft, they passed over Brandon Jennings ( when they need a point guard) and opted for Jordan Hill ? The talent they have received back in trades last year has also not been impressive. Now, I can't see Lebron James signing with the Knicks unless he has assurance that D. Wade or Chris Bosh are coming over as well. ( I don't think he wants to join a rebuilding project.). Also, there are indeed 29 other teams. It is possible that Mr. James, Wade,Bosh & Stoudemire might want to sign with another team or remain with their current teams. So the question is.... if Lebron & Co. decide not to join the Knicks, what's the game plan ? ( P.S. in a very deep and talented 2010 DRAFT, the Knicks probable lottery pick will go to Utah.)
