Are the Pacers Not Paying Hansbrough Enough?
Have y’all seen the new AT&T commercial about the lost dog, and how a phone network can help connect you to people to help find your dog? Did you notice Tyler Hansbrough, #13 Draft Pick to the NBA by the Indiana Pacers, in the commercial? Yeah, neither did I.
The guy just blends in as an ‘average joe’ better than probably any other NBA player could. He plays with a similar blue collar edge too. So the question is, why in the hell is Tyler Hansbrough ‘blending in’ for an AT&T national TV spot? Question #1 – If you’re going to pay a star athlete to be in your commercial, shouldn’t you ensure you get a bang for the buck by featuring them a little. Even subtitle with his name and profession would have been nice. Question #2 – Are the Pacers not paying Hansbrough enough? Why does he need to spend time finding puppies on AT&T commercials?
Maybe he’s already saving for retirement, incase he’s not “NBA Ready”, just as everyone has been saying about him…..

Man, I hate that commercial. And in the last shot, when he’s waiting for the little girl on the porch, he’s got that same creepy stare on his face. No little kid would go anywhere near him.
@Knee Jerk – HAHAHA so true. I also laughed at the fact that you assume she is excited to see an NBA player on the porch, but then shortly realize she cares nothing of the Tyler Hansbrough, but instead only wants to see her dog….
I THINK THE COMMERCIAL IS VERY SWEET. IT SHOWS THAT HE CARES FOR PEOPLE AND THAT HE IS A GOOD GUY THAT WOULD BE WILLING TO LOOK OUT FOR THE DOG AND HELP THE GIRL…
