Video: Magic Johnson’s Speech at Michael Jackson’s Memorial
Michael Jackson touched the lives of many athletes. We already featured the MJ video ‘Jam’ with Michael Jordan where they tried to teach each other their respective crafts. Well sometimes we forget that another great basketball player, Magic Johnson, had a close relationship with Michael as well. Magic was friends with the entire Jackson family, and even appeared in the video ‘Remember the Time’.
Yesterday, at the Michael Jackson memorial service (the most trafficked online event of all-time), Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson both said a few words to the crowd about the King of Pop. Magic in fact had quite a humorous story about hanging out with Michael Jackson at his house and eating a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Who knew Michael Jackson ate KFC, right? Here’s the video:

Didn’t the NBA and YUM brands Strike a deal recently? I think what we witnessed was a commercial in the midst of a funeral. Magic mentioned KFC by name 3 times. He could have just said, “Bucket of friend chicken”. We’ve been bee-essed again people.
It sill hurts. I still cry when I see the videos of Michael Memorial Service. I am praying for the family. Remember God is in control. Each star in the sky is numbered so are the hairs on our head.
