Ron Artest’s Cousin was in Jail with Lebron’s Dad?

Ron Artest doesn’t have to work too hard to make waves in the media. He’s been doing it inadvertently his whole basketball playing career. Well maybe Ron is finally looking to capitalize on his natural buzz generating abilities, because he has released Video Blog Episode 1 of ‘Tru Warier TV’. That’s right, Artest is heading to Hollywood to play, but he’ll be making films in the comfort of his own home and broadcasting them on the net.

In this video, you can even hear his agent David Bauman on the other line of the phone talking to Ron about the Lakers Mitch Kupchak being interested in signing him. While i’m not sure the exact date this was recorded, it doesn’t really matter as we already know Ron is headed to L.A. to play with Kobe Bryant next year.

It gets interesting when Artest starts telling his agent that Lebron James reached out to try and get him to come play with him in Cleveland. He also says that his cousin served time with Lebron’s dad in jail at some point? Regardless of whether or not the information Ron relays on Tru Warier TV is true, it’s definitely interesting to hear some inside intel directly from the horses mouth.
