I’m not so sure I agree. Garnett, Allen, and Pierce are on the decline, and Baby Davis may be a decent role player but if he was ever the focus of the offense he would never score. He only scores when he can play under single coverage or often no coverage because the stars are getting double teamed.

Perkins is the same. Same with House. Same with Scalabrine. They are all role players which is a good match with the big three. But as the big three decline soon, the Celtics in a year or two will be terrible.

Question…where is Boston going to get all of this money from? They are going to have to lock up Rondo, Perkins, Leon Powe, and Big Baby here in the next couple of years. Are they going to let go of one of the Big 3 in the next 2-3 years? They’re going to be grossly over the salary cap, Big Baby just locked himself up a payday which someone’s going to overpay for. Powe too.

I think Boston’s in trouble starting in 2010, 2011…

just change “As for Big Baby Perkins…” to Davis and it’s perfecto, unless it was intentional. The C’s have good players for years to come, and with smart management moves they can stay competitive with or without a declining trio
