Great Jack, now that you have acknowledged your talent, perhaps you can be hired to give this young 7 year old child voice lesson. Not even a 7 year old with out autism will have a developed voice. The ‘Autism’ point… is that she is probably tone deaf that is why she was not able to pronounce or verbalize words at an early age… Hence, music used to help her due to levels of pitch also used in pronouncing words!!! Who is the professional here? If you studied music for over 20 years, you say? Then you should know the difference and appreciate the point…that music is therapy and music is helping her to acclimate to speaking and pronouncing words. You know like music, math and science goes hand in hand, one follows the other, but you knew that, right?

this is your opinion, its obvious you have no children or probably no one special in your life to even venture letting those words come out of your mouth “she was really nothing special…” Every child autisim or not is something special at 7 years old who can sing like that and especially a child with autism. You can not compare her to talented singers, because she is not a professional… she is a child who has over come her enability to speak and pronounce her words through music and expression;she sounds amazing being that she has never had singing voice lesson for that reason. Maybe you should do some research on autism. You are contridicting yourself when you say in one paragraph something very negative, and then in the same post the next paragraph you say you “feel awful for thinking…” OUT LOUD so every one could read what you are thinking !!! what was the point then for your post? you really did not feel awful, your a bully and your mother or father should have taught you to think before you speak !!! words hurt, and you can not take them back, so too late !

When have you ever heard the national athem sung in a hurry?…. the whole adventure and appreciation of hearing the song is the words and how long you can hold that note….that is what excites the crowds, gets the spirit gowing and the game face on !

I surely got goose bumps and most diffinitely having a daughter her age makes you think when you hear them singing. WOW !!! what encouragement we could have for our children after hearing this…to keep on singing baby !!! I too have a daughter 8 years of age I was in tears hearing that strong voice.
