stop perpetuating this myth that denver is tough and physical and plays great defense. denver is stll a finesse, jump-shooting team that rebounds poorly and has no low-scoring post presence. it is a team that still relies a lot on 3-point shooting.

look at the series against the “soft” over-the-hill mavs. the nuggets were outrebounded most of the games, and allegedly super-tough and rugged kenyon martin avearged 4 boards and half a block per game in 32 minutes and was torched by jump-shooting dirk.

look, i think denver is a good team. they are fun, like to leak out in transition, get pretty dunks in traffic, etc.

but tattoos and false perception notwithstanding, this is not a tough, rugged, strong, physical team.

Ryan – Sounds like you think the Lakers will beat the Rockets in Game 7? If the Rockets do happen to beat the Lakers, will the Nuggets easily beat the Rockets or have a tough time like the Lakers did?

Even if denver doesn’t beat the lakers it will be fun to watch. Denver is exciting to watch. How can you not love Billups defensive attitude he brought to denver who before couldn’t stop anyone from scoring.
