funny, i think that the only one who would make this deal is the Pistons. why would phoenix bring in detroit to the precedings when they could deal directly with the raptors and get bosh instead of prince. I think prince is a solid player and good teammate but given the choice I would pick Bosh who is one of the few premire big men in the league who would be able to give back to the suns what they would be losing by dealing amare. as for the raptors, it makes no sense - they trade one potential free agent that they may not sign for another that they have no hope of signing??? colangelo is not an idiot. plus you have to make the contracts work.

what would make more sense is bosh going to phoenix, amare going to detroit and prince, plus another young inexpensive big like amir johnson plus a first rounder or two from the pistons or suns. then it would make sense. toronto gets value with two guys under contract, prince to replace marion when he leaves for free agency (taking his 15 mil contract off the books) and johnson taking the 4 spot, plus cap room and picks.

the suns would get equal value with a slightly younger (2 yrs), more defensive minded big man who would be a better locker room presence and they would have a better shot at re-signing bosh than toronto provided that that is what they want to do.

the psitons get a marquee player and free up detroit to deal rasheed for a wing player to replace prince. all said - it looks like the suns may stand pat for now, and the raptors will probably cross their fingers and do likewise, the pistons have freed up a roster spot which they will fill but probably not with an elite player the caliber of bosh or amare, perhaps a tyson chandler or a brad miller.
