I'll agree it wasn't the best dunk competition ever, but it definitely wasn't the worst.

-Nate dunking over 6'11 Dwight Howard
If 6'6" Vince Carter dunking over a 7 footer (granted, it was in an actual game) is spectacular, than 5'9 Nate Robinson has to be given some serious credit for having that kind of leaping ability.

-Rudy Fernandez's dunks
I really liked Rudy's dunks, and the fact that he was going for the home run/insane difficulty dunks regardless of whether the judges will frown upon his multiple attempts. He was doing creative stuff out there and it definitely made the competition fun

-Dwight Howard's Dunk off the Side of the Backboard
As you said yourself, that dunk was just insane. The extension and hang time was impressive, and that probably should have been his last dunk.

The only dunk that I thought was pretty lame was Dwight Howard's 12 foot rim dunk. It was incredibly simple, and the concept is boring itself... of course a 7'0 guy is going to be able to dunk on a higher rim.. who cares?

Gotta disagree. Dunks have to be creative because everything has pretty much been done by now. I thought D-Ho and co. put on a great show. It was all entertainment mayn.
