Video: Jose Barea, ‘The Puerto Rican Blur’, Hits Game Winner For Dallas!

I know everyone this morning will be talking about either the David vs. Goliath victory for the Indiana Pacers against the LA Lakers, or possibly even the Chauncey Billups show in Denver during the Nuggz absolute and unequivocal domination of the Toronto Raptors.
Personally I think there was a more entertaining story from last night’s action. How about the finish in the Dallas Mavericks vs. LA Clippers game? Jose Barea from downtown for the win? Yes sir! Jason Kidd is a dream maker, and while JJ Barea may have been struggling for playing time since coming into the league in 2006, the duo of Kidd and Barea in the back-court in limited action has looked pretty impressive. Barea is a mere 6′0″ tall, but given the fact that Jason Kidd is an above average size for a Point Guard the pairing seems to work.
There will be a lot of surprised faces around the league when they see Jose Barea, dropping dimes and long range bomb’s, none more than the faces of the Clippers last night, but as JJ Barea gets more burn with performances like his 15 bench points last night, people will need to recognize. I’m calling him the “Puerto Rican Blur”….
Get at it, Jose!

Last couple games he’s had some nice plays. Problem is when you have him on with J.Kidd and J. Terry you need to play a zone cause he is too weak defensively with his size. Especially against guys like a Billups who will just kill him.
Barea hit a big shot but I thought it was more interesting that Kidd plays “the right way” and got the open man the ball at the end for a win instead of trying to forcefeed the star player (dirk) like most point guards would have.
Kidd is still smart and crafty. Good shot tho Barea!
