‘Melo Scores 33 Points in 3rd Quarter Hitting All-time NBA Record!

Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets is a prime time scorer in the NBA. We’ve known that for years. But tonight he did something that has only been done once in the entire history of the NBA. He scored 33 points in one quarter of basketball! Are you kidding me ‘Melo? 33 in one damn quarter? To put this in perspective, not even Wilt in his infamous 100 point game scored 33 in a quarter. Not even Kobe Bryant in his 81 point game against the Raps a couple years ago. That’s how big this is….It’s huge!
When you’re hot, you’re hot, right? But 33? Gahhhhhh my mind is exploding as I write this! It’s too much to fathom. Can you imagine he put up 4 quarters of 33/per? Hahaha, for you mathematically challenged that would be a grand ol’ total of 132 points in a game! Not really all that possible, but I can dream right?
Here is a video with the discussion between Bill Walton and Stuart Scott about how huge this feat was:
