Allen Iverson at Detroit Pistons Press Conference: “You talkin’ bout practice?”

Every NBA player makes a media relations mistake from time to time. Allen Iverson will never be able to forget his biggest media relations mistake a few years back with the Philadelphia 76ers when he made his now infamous “Practice, we talkin’ about practice man?” statements, followed up by “How the hell can I make my teammates better by practicin?”.
Well Iverson is a lot older, more mature, and certainly more media saavy nowadays but it didn’t stop him from walking into a pretty funny setup from Joe Dumars today at the Pistons press conference introduction of their new star and future hall of fame player.
I have included the full video of the press conference below, but the part where Iverson is teased about his past statements on ‘practice’ come at about the 1:40 mark if you want to skip to it. Your welcome Detroit, Denver just gave you a hall of fame gift…..I hope you appreciate it!
this was a great move for the pistons. they couldn’t score on no body. Iverson is lightning in a bottle.
I think the Pistons made the right move for now and for later.

I think it was a very nice trade.
Iverson and Billups are great players.
I like the trade too. I can see good from both sides. Nobody got the better of each other in this one when you figure in future cap relief.
