Okay so now that we have that b.s. out of the way. I can certainly say, I love to watch fights. NBA Fights specifically. Why is it that fighting is not only allowed but promoted in Hockey, and is a big time fan attraction to the game, yet in Basketball it can get kicked out of the game of incident, and often times suspended without pay for multiple games following?

Fighting has never been “allowed” in the NBA, but certainly NBA Commissioner David Stern and his past Heads of Basketball Operations never used to be so heavy handed with their post-fight punishments. In fact many rules have changed over the past 20 years to make the game less aggressive and less of a ‘contact sport’.
