Mo wil is going too be a great fit beside lebron james. Therefor, he wont be enough too win the Cavaliers a championship. It will be the Cavs-Celtics once again in the Conference Finals

Hi…yeah I think the move is a really good one for the Cavs.Lebron will get his guy who can also carry the team,but I thought that Larry Hughes would do the same and it didn´t worked out very well,so we have to see how Williams comes along with the KING and how he will fit in the defensive-oriented system.
One question:Aren´t the Cavs now not over the Salary Cap?They have some really big contracts now to pay for with for example Ben Wallace,Big Z,Lebron James,Wally Sczerbiacs and Williams

Hey Carolyn,

I agree with you but I also agree with Lockdown. I think it should be fine with a full training camp and pre-season together. The Celtics proved just that last year by having a great bonding experience overseas in the pre-season and that chemistry carried them throughout the season to the eventual title.

Oh and some defense tossed in too, ha ha.

That is true chemistry and continuity is important, but this is different as the move is happening in the off season. When you have a whole training camp and pre-season of learning plays etc. together it doesn’t really affect the continuity as much as an in season trade.

They should be fine. My only concern is Mo being given the green light by Coach Brown to run and gun like he needs to, to be effective.

Dr B: I love your optimism. And I don’t disagree with your analysis. What I keep coming back to is Danny Ferry bemoaning the lack of “continuity” and how much it adversely impacts the players and the team. After the “big trade” (Wally, Ben etc), Danny was quoted:

“At the end of the year, we didn’t really have a chance to build continuity because the trade happened so late and we had several injuries after the trade [ ...] “I’m really excited to see some of these guys really be able to work together through a preseason, training camp and build a team even more-so rather than just thrown together, which we kind of had to do at the end of last season.”

Continuity has been broken once more. And maybe this time it will work. But I would love to see the Cavs develop existing talent with more intensity.

I feel you Doc! Maurice is going to be the perfect fit with Lebron James. His scoring numbers may actually even increase this year playing with Lebron James cause he will get more open looks than ever.

I hoep they keep Delonte too as he might be a bit better defender so he will be a good PG sub off the bench for Mike Brown’s style.
