The bulls shouldn’t do it… they should trade Gordon before thinking about trading Hinrich. But If I’m a Nuggets fan I LOVE IT.

Trading Hinrich for a future first to a team that would have him, Iverson and Carmello on it, just to dump cap, would be absolutely retarded. In other words, I could definitely see the Bulls doing it after the way they dumped Chandler and picked up Benedict Wallace. The franchise is really turning into a joke, big time.

They should keep Hinrich as PG now, and later this season when Rose is ready to start, pair him at SG with Rose at the point (play Thabo at SG till then). Trade Deng and Nocioni for Okafor, and Gordon and Noah for Josh Smith (SF).

Amen and amen!! This isn’t football. Early and often. Get him out there and let’s roll. As for Hinrich, it all depends on what Paxson does with the flexibility. I would sign and trade Gordon in a heartbeat.

I’m pretty certain that some patience would be the best answer for both teams. Doesn’t make sense to throw D Rose to the wolves, especially w/out the Deng/Gordon situations figured out first.
From the Nuggets standpoint I’m not sure that Kirk is the answer, although he’s got good cap numbers that decrease over the contract. Long term, Kirk, JR and Melo are pretty formidable, especially with Nene and Kleiza, but as bad as Kirk was last year, i’d be wary of trading away too much for him.

Vik that’s true we should get the Gordon situation settled first then figure out how many rotation guards we really have. If Gordon stays then Hinrich maybe should be dealt. Hughes has such a big contract we’ll never get rid of him. No team would take him and his contract. Not good value

Great post. I think the Bulls need to wait until they get the Ben Gordon aka BGeezy situation sorted out. If Ben and Kirk both leave, then it leaves our backcourt with only Rose, Thabo, and Hughes, and maybe summer league standout D Nichols. Paxson definitely needs to do something, so let’s see what happens.
