I agree that Iverson should have been chosen for the FIBA America’s tourney and should be on this squad too. He always plays well in all-star games when he is surrounded by good players. This is the perfect atmosphere for his game. They are so biased in not taking him cause he’s clearly the best player and competitor they could take.

ok i think the best choice for the team is to loose chandler and amare. He is one of the top 15 in the nba and i feel he is a overall better player

Go USA!! Make us proud this time. With this squad that was named there is no way they don’t blow out every single game. International game has improved, but this team is unbeatable by those guys.

Well the Olympic Team was formally announced today. Here is the Beijing 2008 Olympics; Team USA:

Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Carlos Boozer, Michael Redd, Tayshaun Prince, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard.

No Chandler, No Pierce from my list above.

I like your picks Anklesnap. Only I think you should have put Tayshaun Prince in your list…and kicked out Boozer. Carlos is good, but Prince is a better choice and great team player. Also the only amazing shooter you have their is Michael Redd. Team USA should have at least one more like Mike Miller incase Redd gets hurt.

Shooting always killed them when they had losses in the past in international ball.
