Lakers Sign Jersey Ad Deal for $12 to $14 Million Per Season

A week after the Golden State Warriors signed the largest jersey sponsorship deal in the NBA at $20 million per season over the next three years, the highest grossing team in revenue dollars from the 2016-17 season, the Los Angeles Lakers, have signed a deal for three years and $36 to $42 million with e-commerce company Wish.

This is the second-highest sponsorship deal in the NBA, behind the Warriors and $2 to $4 million more per season than the Cleveland Cavaliers deal with Goodyear.

Unlike some of the other jersey sponsor patches (including the Warriors) the Lakers jersey patch looks pretty sleek and seems to fit and compliment the jersey well…

I am sure LaVar Ball is highly upset this morning as he was convinced the Lakers would be sponsored with the Big Baller Brand. A man can dream…

That would obviously never happen for a number of reasons, the biggest being that the Ball family couldn’t afford it and a competitor to Nike would never be accepted as a jersey sponsor.

Wish is a good theme for the Lakers 2017-18 season anyway as all any Lakers fan will be doing this season (besides wearing Lonzo Ball jerseys and exclaiming that the Lakers are back, ugh Lakers fans) is daydreaming and wishing that they are able to land LeBron James and Paul George in the off-season.
