Boris Diaw To Play in France Next Season

It appears we may have seen the last of Boris Diaw in an NBA uniform.

After struggling mightily in Utah last season, Diaw was unable to find an NBA home this off-season and is now reportedly headed to play professionally in France this season.

Diaw is currently playing for France in Euro Cup and at the age of 35 and coming off of the worst season since his first couple years in the NBA with a limited role with the Hawks in 2003 and 2004, he will likely spend the rest of his playing career in France.

Diaw averaged 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 17.6 minutes per game last season and didn’t fill the role the Jazz were hoping he would.

He has had a very accomplished career including winning an NBA title in San Antonio in 2014 and winning the NBA Most Improved Player Award as a member of the Phoenix Suns in the 2005-06 season.

Diaw possesses an incredibly high basketball I.Q. and is one of the better passers in the NBA but has never been in the greatest shape or had NBA level quickness or athleticism, this is especially true now that he is in his late 30s.

Here is to hoping we haven’t seen the last of this Frenchmen on an NBA court.
