LeBron Gets 50th Career Triple-Double

james

Although the Cavaliers suffered another disappointing loss, this time 106-101 in Detroit Thursday night, vintage LeBron was on display. Dunking on everything in site and flying around like a 25-year-old earning yet another triple-double.

This triple-double was a little more special though as it was the 50th of his historic career.

LeBron becomes just the 7th player in NBA history to record 50 triple-doubles for a career, joining some elite company:

Oscar Robertson 181
Magic Johnson 138
Jason Kidd 107
Wilt Chamberlain 78
Russell Westbrook 68
Larry Bird 59
LeBron James 50

Although not anywhere as substantial as some of King James’s other accomplishments (NBA titles, NBA regular season and Finals MVPs, All-NBA 1st Team appearances) still pretty incredible to get 50 triple-doubles for a career.

It may be hard for LeBron to catch Wilt Chamberlain or “Mr. Triple-Double” as I’ve anointed him, LeBron can and should pass Larry Bird pretty easily to get 60 triple-doubles of his career.

He has eight this season, which is the most in a single-season since his first stint in Cleveland.

Rack up another milestone for the king.
