Cavaliers Experiencing Possible Buyout Bonanza

NBA trade deadline day came and went Thursday with little intrigue and almost none of the players who were most rumored of actually being dealt across the league were.

The biggest name to switch teams was former Philadelphia 76ers young big man and now the newest Maverick Nerlens Noel.

There is one interesting result of a dull trade deadline in which there were plenty of sellers with high price tags and not many buyers, many valuable pieces and veterans are set to be bought out and hit the open market in the coming days.

You have former All-NBA performer and an NBA champion, Deron Williams and Andrew Bogut, available to be huge additions to contenders in need of another piece. It is becoming more and more apparent that the Mavericks trash (figuratively) is the Cavaliers treasure.

Williams figures to be the missing piece and backup playmaker the Cavaliers and LeBron James have been pining for (a little too much) and Andrew Bogut could add instant depth interior, passing and rim protecting ability.

Reports are that Williams has already let his intentions be known that he will sign with the Cavaliers.

There are murmurs around the league that Andrew Bogut could join him and give the Cavaliers the most experienced reserve unit in the league, Williams, Korver, Jefferson, Frye and Bogut, once Kevin Love is able to return from injury.

The defending champs would release Jordan McRae to have room to sign Bogut.

If the Cavaliers can regain their health by the postseason, it appears the impending Warriors-Cavaliers trilogy just potentially got a little more interesting…
