Chicago White Sox to Unveil Weird Scottie Pippen Bobblehead in September

The Chicago Bulls and the Chicago White Sox have a unique connection as franchises. In 1993, the greatest player in Chicago Bulls (and NBA) history, Michael Jordan, decided after winning three consecutive NBA titles that it was time for a new a adventure. Time to make his childhood dream of being a professional baseball player come true (or he got suspended for breaking the NBA’s gambling violation and chose to play baseball in the meantime as a cover-up but that is neither here nor there).

22 years later the Chicago White Sox have decided to not pay homage to Jordan himself, but instead to his super sidekick who was an integral part of the Bulls six NBA championships as a franchise: Scottie Pippen.

In what is already somewhat of an odd decision, the White Sox also decided to dress the bobble head with a warm-up White Sox jacket and Chicago Bulls shorts, a very odd looking combo that very few Chicago sports fans have even donned I’m assuming.

The mismatch of Bulls and White Sox and basketball and baseball is an odd aesthetic, but it is actually a pretty cool and unique bobble head.

Pippen is a big fan…

This bobble head will be unveiled during the White Sox annual Chicago Bulls night in September.
