For many people like myself who grew up playing video games, including the ever popular NBA 2K franchise, Steph Curry is the closest thing we have seen in real life to a player with a video game-esque ability to light it up from anywhere on the court and drop 50 at will.
The makers of the game have even gone as far to say the game doesn’t reward players who take the sort of shots Curry takes and makes regularly on the real life hardwood, technically making the real life version better than the NBA 2K16 version, which is crazy.
To celebrate Curry’s back-to-back MVP nomination and his status as the first ever unanimous MVP selection in NBA history, the makers of NBA2K16 will have a roster update that features Curry with a 99 three-point shooting rating on the game for exactly 30 hours (his number) starting at 6pm Eastern time on Thursday, May 12.
Congrats @StephenCurry30 on back to back MVPs. @UABasketball & @NBA2K #BreakTheGame w/ 99 rating for 30 hrs starting THU 3PM PT to celebrate

So whatever you were planning on doing Thursday night, besides watching Game 6 of the Thunder and Spurs, I encourage you to skirt the rest of your responsibilities and stay up all night shooting three-pointers on 2K with Steph Curry, you will not regret it.
