The Spurs Have Everybody’s Number

San Antonio Spurs Trio

Even though they lost to the Charlotte Hornets last night, the San Antonio Spurs accomplished a pretty incredible and mind-boggling feat over the past week. And I’m not referring to holding the Golden State Warriors to only 79 points in a victory.

With their win over the Blazers at home last Thursday night, they now own a winning record against all 29 other NBA franchises.

The Spurs are also the only franchise in the four major professional American sports to have a winning record against every other team in their sport.

With the 2015-16 season included, the Spurs have made the postseason 36 of the past 40 years since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976, including an incredible twenty six 50-win seasons.

They have almost always been led by a top-notch star whether it was George Gervin in the late 70s and early 80s, David Robinson in the 90s or Tim Duncan in the 2000s.

They are an incredible 1064-433 since Tim Duncan’s rookie season in 1997-98 which is a 71% winning percentage.

Here is a breakdown of the Spurs head to head results with every other current NBA team in their franchise history:
