Cavs, Kyrie Irving Agree on Max Contract Worth $90 Million Over 5 Years

kyrie maxhNeedless to say, the most important thing to happen to the Cleveland Cavaliers since LeBron James left has been drafting Kyrie Irving. He’s only been in the league a handful of years, but he’s already mentioned in the “best PG” conversation and has an all-star start under his belt.

Free agency is only a day old, but the Cavs wasted no time in showing Kyrie some love. The team has reportedly offered Kyrie the max at 5-years, $90 million. It will be interesting what transpires in about three years when Andrew Wiggins’ rookie deal expires.

The Cleveland Cavaliers secured the most important piece of their future early Tuesday morning, when point guard Kyrie Irving agreed to a five-year, $90 million maximum contract that will be signed when the NBA free agency moratorium lifts on July 10
