Kevin Garnett Drops F-Bomb During Post-Game [Video]

April 1, 2010 – Dr. Anklesnap

No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. Kevin Garnett after the Celtics loss to Kevin Durant’s OKC Thunder last night, 109-104, started dropping the F-Bomb about the referees’ treatment of Kevin Durant. His exact words were:

“I thought we was playing Michael F*****g Jordan tonight, the way he was getting the whistle,” Garnett said. “Durant damn near shot more free throws than our whole team. That’s the game.”

Kevin Garnett F-Bomb DurantThe funny thing is, Kevin Durant’s game actually does remind me a bit of a young Michael Jordan. With a little bit less assertiveness going to the hoop, and a slightly more refined outside stroke. But let’s not get into that. Let’s focus on the comment by Garnett. He makes it seem like the game was decided on Durant’s free throws. Sorry to say Mr. Garnett, but your team lost this close one because you had less rebounds, more turnovers, and a worse field goal percentage in the 4th quarter. Add to that your team going only 3-13 from three point range, and you can see why the Thunder were victorious.

Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t bet on the Thunder to beat the Celtics in a 7-game playoff series, but it was obvious last night that the Thunder were hungrier, driving towards making a playoff appearance, whereas the Celtics just seem to be waiting for the playoffs to get here.
