Unusual Suspects Provide Wild finish to Knicks-Pacers Game!

Wilson Chandler Jarrett Jack

January 3, 2009 – Dr. Anklesnap

With all 30 NBA Teams playing last night, was I the only one that wanted to throw my remote at the screen when I realized that the only nationally televised game was the Indiana Pacers against the New York Knicks? I’m sure there were others that wanted to send Stern a ‘thank-you’ note, right?

Well maybe David Stern is clairvoyant because as it turned out the Knicks-Pacers game was quite good, and it certainly didn’t hurt with the wild finish to close out the game. There may have been heroics from some unlikely players but it certainly didn’t disappoint.

If you had to guess at the Knicks hero to tie the game with 13 seconds left in the fourth, you may go with a variety of players that include Nate Robinson, David Lee, Al Harrington, Quentin Richardson, or even Chris Duhon. But not on this night, it was the unusual suspect Wilson Chandler who took the ball hard to the cup and dunked right on Troy Murphy of the Pacers for the And 1. And If you had to guess at the hero for the Pacers, you would undoubtedly guess Danny Granger, but instead the game winning jump shot was knocked down by Jarrett Jack in the clutch.

Check out the wild finish for yourself in this video (p.s. the look on Chris Rock’s face is priceless):
