‘Melo is still clutch, and breaking hearts!

Carmelo Anthony

If you play for the Oklahoma City Thunder it must be hard to go to work day in and day out and know you most likely will lose. Then again you look around the locker room and see your big three of Russell Westbrook, Jeff Green, and Kevin Durant are all super young with loads of talent and probably think there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

But with no way of knowing how long that tunnel is, it must be frustrating on nights like last night when your heart, and the hearts of all of your fans gets broken by perennial all-star Carmelo Anthony.

Kevin Durant had a huge game last night. Something he has been doing more and more of lately. And against one of the top teams in the league, the Denver Nuggets, it was quite an impressive performance. And in the clutch too. With a few seconds left in the game, and the Thunder down by 2 points, Kevin Durant nailed a HUGE three to put the Thunder up by one with just 2 seconds left in the game.

Finally the Thunder will get a much needed win to rejuvenate their spirits right? Wrong. It’s ‘Melo time….Carmelo Anthony pulled up from three point range in the corner with a man right in his grill with less than 2 seconds left and nailed it at the buzzer. Now that is clutch!

Check out the video, listen to the crowd in OKC, and then watch Durant’s face looking up at the replay on the scoreboard with a look of defeat on his face. Man, ‘Melo really crushed the Thunder and their fans last night….
