Lebron James Dunks from Free Throw Line Again (…Well Almost)

Lebron James Dunk

December 9, 2008 – Dr. Browntorious

Lebron James tonight became the Cleveland Cavaliers all-time leader in steals. He achieved the accomplishment fairly early in the game too against the Toronto Raptors. But there was something else that Lebron did early in the game that had me off my seat. On the first play of the game Anthony Parker turned the ball over and Lebron James had a fast break dunk. And he did it again!

What you ask?

He dunked from the free throw line. Well okay not the free throw line. But close. One “Lebron Step” inside the free throw line he takes off and floats towards the rim for a two-hander. How in the world does an athlete do this in a game situation when the timing needs to be just right and there are opposing athletes chasing you down hoping for a come from behind block? I’ve said it a million times, but Lebron is a freak!

With the way the Cavaliers have been playing as of late, and with the way Lebron has been giving us highlights on a seemingly nightly basis this season, he’s got my vote for MVP this year. What do you think of the dunk? Could he do it from well behind the three point line in a dunk contest? Would he put Jordan’s FT line dunk to shame?
